Burial Services

One of the first steps in planning a funeral is to consider how you would like final disposition to take place – Burial or Cremation? This is a personal choice and may take time to consider. One can have visitation and a funeral service with both types of disposition. A visitation allows for family and friends to come together, extend sympathies, and share stories about the loved one that has passed. A funeral, whether traditional or contemporary, assists in the grieving process. It allows family and friends the opportunity to honor the life of your loved one. We offer safe, comfortable surroundings for you to receive family and friends.

Visitation and/or viewing with family and friends gathering

  • Funeral ceremony with your loved one present.
  • Location choices: Funeral home, church or another location of your choosing.
  • Committal service and disposition of your loved one (earth burial, entombment, or cremation) follows the ceremony.
  • Reception sharing food and beverage at church or another location of your choosing.
  • Ceremony takes place at the site of the burial with the casket or cremation urn.
  • Reception sharing food and beverage at a location of your choosing.

This is a formal or informal ceremony for family and friends without your loved one present.

A memorial service may take place anywhere, at anytime in conjunction with any of our other service options.

Cremation Services

The biggest misconception about cremation is that there can't be a funeral service or visitation. This is absolutely not the case, and we encourage you to consider holding a memorial service to celebrate the life of the deceased as well. There are many options open to you when it comes to honoring your loved one's life. After the cremation and memorial services, there are a variety of choices for your loved one's final disposition:

  • Interment means that you'll bury or entomb your loved one's cremated remains. This can be in a family plot, a memorial site, a cremation niche or urn garden, or in a variety of other indoor and outdoor locations. Ask our staff for a detailed list of interment possibilities.
  • Graveside services are similar to those celebrated alongside a traditional ground burial, in which loved ones are present at the burial of the cremated remains and honor the deceased through memorial prayers or other meaningful tributes.
  • Scattering allows you to spread your loved one's cremated remains in a memorial garden, a cemetery, over water, or across any other meaningful site. You also can choose to scatter some of the cremated remains and retain the rest in an urn for interment or another form of disposition.
  • Placing cremated remains in multiple urns allows family members who are separated by distance to each feel the comfort of having their loved one's final resting place in a nearby location.

We encourage families to honor their loved one according to their own traditions, culture, and financial means. There are many options and ideas that can be combined to create a fitting and memorable tribute to suit every family and their budgetary needs. We have created several traditional burial packages based on items that families typically choose. By no means are these packages the only options available to your family. They are simply examples of what merchandise and services are available through our funeral homes. We believe that each and every funeral should be a personal experience and are happy to assist you with those arrangements.
