Borle, William Omer
Bay City, Michigan
Our loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side in the morning hours of Sunday, July 22, 2018 at the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center in Saginaw, Michigan. Age 90. Mr. Borle was born on July, 25, 1928 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Firman and Marguerite Borle. He proudly served his country in the United States Army for 2 years. William then married Gertrude Michalak on August 29th, 1986. He worked as a Chemical Operator for the Dow Chemical Company and was a member of the Corpus Christi Parish – St. Hedwig Church for numerous years. Mr. Borle was also an active member of the K of C #414 and the VFW. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting pheasants and deer. One of his favorite places to spend his time was at their family cabin in West Branch, Michigan. His love for football and baseball went further than watching the games, he also coached. But nothing meant more to Mr. Borle than spending time with his family and friends.
Left to cherish his memories is his wife, Gertrude Borle; One daughter, Cindy (Mark) Jezowski; three grandchildren, Jeffrey (Jessica), Michael, and Sarah; two great-grandchildren, Lydia and Emily Jezowski; and one sister, Sister Dennis Kerr. Mr. Borle is welcomed into Heaven’s gates by his brothers, George Kerr and Robert Kerr; his sisters, Stella Stuart, Dorothy Maloney, Josephine Kudla, Florence Resser, and Mary Ellen Summerville; and his dog Fluff.
The family would also like to recognize Heartland Hospice and the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center for their compassion and extraordinary care that they provided to Mr. Borle and his family.
The Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 10:00 am at Corpus Christi Parish – St. Hedwig Church. Concelebrating will be Rev. Fr. Robert Kelm and Rev. Fr. Kevin N. Kerbawy. Interment and Committal Prayers will take place at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Bay City, Michigan Visitation will take place at the Ambrose Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm. and at the church from 9:00 am until the time of Mass. There will be a 7:00 pm wake service at the funeral home on Tuesday night.
