Regina “Jean” Hages
Bay City, Michigan
Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend passed away peacefully Friday, May 3, 2019 at Bay Medical Care Facility, age 94. Regina was born June 8, 1924 in Bay City to the late John and Josephine (Filepiak) Richert. She retired from JCPenney Catalog department in 1988 after 20 years of dedicated service and volunteered for many years in the gift shop at Bay Medical Center. Jean was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish and a life member of the Rosary Society.
Surviving is a daughter Diana (Don) Zielinski and one son Gordon (April) Hages, one daughter-in-law Kathy Hages, six grandchildren: Kyle (Gina) Zielinski, Kori (Wes) Stack, Michael (Worth) Hages, Melissa (Jeff) Gehl, Garrett Hages and Gabrielle (Jack) Grier, seven great grandchildren: Abigail, Austin, Madlyn, Colette, John, Greta and Simon, several nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by her son Barry Hages, two brothers, James (Helene) Richert and Barney (Bernie) Richert and two sisters, Mary (Vern) Lesniak and Dorothy (Edward) Glomb.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish-St. Stanislaus Church, 1503 Kosciuszko Ave., Bay City, MI 48708. Fr. Jose Maria Cabrera will celebrate Mass at private interment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Friends may call at Ambrose Funeral Home on Monday from 2:00 to 8:00 pm and at church on Tuesday after 9:00 am. Members of OLC Parish will pray the Rosary for Jean Monday at 2:00 pm at the funeral home, followed later by a Parish Vigil Service at 6:00 pm. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorials to OLC Parish or the ALS Foundation.
Jean's family would like to thank all the staff at Bay Medical Care Facility for their wonderful care and help they provided for their mother.
