Frances Verda DeSanto was born in Farmington Mi, she and her family later moved to Bay City.  Frannie graduated from Bay City Central and in May of 1946 married Carl DeSanto. MOM/FRANNIE was a homemaker, telephone operator, cosmetician, a bank teller in Bay City and New Mexico, and an office manager. She was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Woman's Guild, L.W.M.L., Quilters For World Relief, Business and Professional Woman.  Her volunteer work included Lutheran Child and Family Services, Heritage House Foundation, DAV Auxiliary and the Economy Center.  Frannie enjoyed traveling with her husband, knitting, crocheting, quilting, crossword puzzles and reading.  She and Carl moved to Essexville in 1954 to raise their family and continued to live there except for a few sunny years spent in New Mexico.  Frannie is survived by her children; Melodie (John) Head, Mark (Colleen) DeSanto, and Merri/Murry DeSanto, her grandchildren Seth, Matthew, Nikole, Cara, Stacy, great grandchildren Paloma, Marisol, and Fletcher, sister-in-law Florence Tracy and several nieces and nephews. Frannie was preceded in death by her partents Francis & Verda Tracy, husband Carl, brother Robert Tracy and sister Colleen Petroski.  Frannie's family is grateful to staff and owners at Shannon's House who provided excellent care, a warm beautiful environment and unconditional love in mom's final years.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Unity of Bay City, Shannon's House or Shelter Angels (animal rescue group).  Frannie's memorial service will be Dec 22nd, 11 am at Unity of Bay City (3736 State St. Road Bay City, MI. 48706)
