Konsdorf, Delfred D. “Del”
Our loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully in the evening hours of the night on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at the Brian’s House in Essexville, Michigan. Age 79 years Delfred was born in Saginaw, Michigan on September 26, 1939 to the late Marshall H. and Laura R. (Almy) Konsdorf. On August 13, 1966 Delfred married the love of his life, Carol A. Schindler, at Faith Lutheran Church in Bridgeport, Michigan. He worked as a machinist for numerous years at Baker Perkins in Saginaw, Michigan and for Universal Tooling Systems Division in Frankenmuth, Michigan. Del had a love for tractors and enjoyed tinkering on lawn mowers. He was an avid Detroit Lions Fan and enjoyed animals, especially birds and deer. Del had many joys in life, but nothing compared to the time he spent with his family and grandchildren. He is going to be missed dearly by his family and friends.
Left to cherish his memories is his wife, Carol A. Konsdorf; daughter, Juley (Jeffery) Anderson of Saginaw, Michigan; son, Brandon (Sarah) Konsdorf of Owosso, Michigan; four grandchildren, Raymond Anderson, Kimberly Anderson, Olivia Konsdorf, and Xavier Konsdorf; brother, Ellis Konsdorf; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jane (Jack) Lingle; sisters-in-law, Betty Konsdorf and Marlene Konsdorf; special friends, Mr. and Mrs. Meyer and Mr. and Mrs. Stanford Laird; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Delfred is united after many years apart with his parents, Marshall H. and Laura R. (Almy) Konsdorf; brothers, Larry Konsdorf, Robert Konsdorf, Lugene Konsdorf, and Terry Konsdorf; sister, Rosie Konsdorf; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gayle Konsdorf, Ralph Schindler, Norman Schindler, and Arlene (Glenn) Wolpert.
Delfred’s family would like extend a special thank you to the Wellspring Nursing Home and Brian’s House for the care and compassion given to Del and their family.
At the request of Delfred, cremation has taken place and there will be a graveside service and inurnment, sometime in the spring, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Saginaw, Michigan.
