Virginia Ann Czyzewski (Nowicki)
Bay City, Michigan
Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away Monday, April 2, 2018 at Bay Medical Care Facility, age 95. Virginia was born September 21, 1922 in Bay City to the late Michael and Anna (Kaminski) Nowicki. She married Ernest R. Czyzewski and he predeceased her on September 9, 1995. She co-owned and operated Bob’s Variety Store and also helped with cleaning at St. Stanislaus Grade School. Virginia was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Czestochowa-St. Stanislaus Church and a life member of St. Stanislaus Rosary/Altar Society as well. She enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casino.
Surviving are six children: Mary Ann (Ron) Ciesla, James Czyzewski, Joseph (Linda) Czyzewski, Janice (Russ) Wiesen, Paul Czyzewski and Michael (Jennifer) Czyzewski, fourteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, one son in-law Fred Meyer, many nieces and nephews. Virginia was predeceased by her daughter Barbara Meyer, one granddaughter Anne Marie Meyer, two brothers, Barney and Larry Nowicki and three sisters: Delphine Sinicki, Lucille Sinicki and Mary Majchzrak.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, April 6, 2018 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish-St. Stanislaus Church, 1503 Kosciuszko Ave., Bay City, MI 48708. Fr. Rick Filary will celebrate Mass and private interment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ambrose Funeral Home on Thursday from 3:00 to 8:00 pm and at church on Friday after 9:00 am. Members of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish will pray the Rosary Thursday at 3:00 pm, followed later in the evening by a Parish Vigil Service for Virginia at 7:00 pm, both at the funeral home.
