     Mr. Dzurka passed away Saturday, June 23, 2018 at his home with his daughter and son-in-law by his side, age 97. He was born September 18, 1920.  Theodore married Helen C. Fiyak and she predeceased him on December 28, 2015.  Ted worked at The Dow Chemical Company prior to serving his country during WWII. He returned a WWII Army veteran and went back to work at The Dow Chemical Company until his retirement.  He was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Parish-St. Vincent DePaul Church, Knights of Columbus Council #414, where Theodore was very active with the Tootsie Roll Drive every year.  Theodore loved his farm, going to the casino and always lived by the moto “People Helping People” because he always loved helping others.

     Surviving is his daughter Mary Ann (Nicholas) Makl, two grandsons, Nicholas and Ronald Makl, two sisters-in-law, Patricia Dzurka and Lucillle Watz, one brother in-law LeRoy Sebald and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents Casimer and Wanda Dzurka, seven brothers and sisters: Leonard Dzurka, Raymond Dzuirka, Thomas Dzurka, Eleanor Mularz, Frances Wisniewski, Dorothy Reder and Mary Ann Sebald.

     The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Catherine of Siena Parish-St. Vincent DePaul Church. Interment will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Fisherville.  Friends may call at the Squires Funeral Home on Tuesday from 3:00 to 8:00pm and at church on Wednesday after 10:00 am.  A Parish Vigil Service and Knights of Columbus Bible Presentation for Theodore will be held Tuesday at 7:00 pm at the funeral home.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Crippled Children and Mentally Handicapped through the Knights of Columbus or Wishes of the Family.  www.squiresfuneralhome.com
