Ted passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at McLaren Bay Region, age 93. He was born March 24, 1925 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Paul and Mary (Walkowicz) Kuflewski. Ted married Virginia Peglow in 1946 and she predeceased him in 1966. He would then marry Leona Shurkey in 1966 and she passed away in 2004. On August 9, 2008 Ted married U. Charlene Raymond and she survives him. Ted was a US Navy veteran and served his country during WWII from 1942 to 1946 and also in the Korean Conflict from 1950 to 1952. He retired from General Motors in Saginaw after 34 years of dedicated service in the accounting department. Ted was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish-St. Stanislaus Church. He enjoyed various activities; bowling, movies, puzzle books and yard work. In his early years he picked up a 7-10 split while bowling and made a hole-in-one while playing golf.

Surviving besides his wife Charlene is a daughter Susan (Robert) Norris, a step-daughter Dianne Shurkey, grandchildren, Julie (Todd) Brundrett and Sharon (Joseph) Armstrong, six great grandchildren: Sarah and Emma Brundrett, Mitchell, Olivia, Nicholas and Ava Armstrong, sisters-in-law, Pauline Obertein and Charity Niemczewski, many nieces, nephews and his beloved dog Francie. Ted was predeceased by his son Bruce Kuflewski and his siblings: Edward, Paul, Joseph, and John Kuflewski, Stephanie Hasselback and Rose LaDronka and a sister-in-law Marlette Riebel.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish-St. Stanislaus Church, 1503 Kosciuszko Ave., Bay City, MI 48708. Fr. William J. Rutkowski will celebrate Mass and private interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Saginaw. Friends may call at the Ambrose Funeral Home on Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 pm and at church on Saturday after 10:00 am. Military Honors, under the auspices of the Bay County Veterans Honor Guard will be held Friday night at 6:00 pm at the funeral home. Followed later that same evening by a Parish Vigil Service for Ted at 7:00 pm. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish.
