Shirley was born on November 30, 1929 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Samuel and Louise (Lamkin) Worden.  On April 15, 1950 Shirley married the love of her life, Daniel Sliwinski Sr., and he preceded her in death on September 30, 2006. Shirley worked as an operator for Michigan Bell for several years. She became very close with many of her coworkers, and continued to stay in touch with them over the years.Shirley was very active within her church. She was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish – St. Stanislaus Kostka Church for her entire adult life. She was a member of the Rosary Society, Altar Society, Senior Citizens Club, the League of Catholic Men and Women, and the Ladies Card Club. Baking always brought Shirley an abundance of joy; she enjoyed baking various pastries for any type of occasion. Another one of her favorite hobbies was taking casino trips with friends and family. Above all, nothing meant more to Shirley than the time she was able to spend with her family.
