It is with great sadness that the family of Rodolfo “Rudy” Flores announces that he passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at McLaren-Flint hospital at the age of 67 years. He was born on December 3, 1950 in Eagle Pass, Texas to the late Marcos and Trinadad Flores. Rudy Served in the Army and was a proud Vietnam Veteran of the 82nd Airborne Force. He retired from General Motors in Saginaw, MI. Rudy enjoyed the great outdoors, hunting, cooking, concerts, spending time with family, and attending sports events.
Rudy will forever be remembered by his wife of 31 years, Cindy (Garcia); seven children, Jaime, Angel, Felicia, Reina, Kelly, Tina, and Andra; thirteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; his mother-in-law, Dolores Garcia; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mike, Nana, Sandy, Jane, Rick, Lisa, and Dave; many nieces and nephews; and also the family dog, Max. Rudy’s memories will also be shared in the hearts of his siblings, Thelma, Minerva, Joe, Jimmy and Mark. Rudy is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Tommy, Oscar, Ruben, Liz, and Rose; and his father-in-law, Willie Garcia.
The family of Rudy Flores wishes to give an extended special thanks to their family and friends for their prayers, support, and condolences. They would also like to recognize the Veterans of Foreign Wars Organization and Rudy’s in-home nurse, Joyce.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Ambrose Funeral Home on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. Memorial visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. and will last until the time of service.
