Our beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather and dear friend to all who knew him passed away peacefully Monday, April 29, 2019 at Beaumont Hospital in Farmington Hills, age 85. Robert was born May 19, 1933 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Stephen and Mary (Wojewoda) Szczypka. He married Janet Y. Tressic in St. Mary’s Church on June 23, 1962 and she predeceased him on December 8, 2015. He was a veteran and served his country with the US Army from 1953 to 1955. Robert retired from Bay City Powertrain after more than 40 years of dedicated service. He was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish-St. Stanislaus Kostka Church and dedicated to his faith and Christian up-bringing.
