Prueter, Neal M.
Bay City, Michigan
Our loving husband, father, grandfather “Dzia Dzia”, son, and brother passed away at his residence on February 11, 2019 in Bay City, Michigan. Age 55 years. Neal was born August 13, 1963 in Saginaw, Michigan to his parents Elton and Elda (Haas) Prueter. He was born and raised in Saginaw, and then moved to Bay City where he established his career and family. On March 12, 1993 he married his beloved wife, Debra Wejsa, and she survives him. After numerous years of service, Neal retired from Modern Machine Co. in Bay City, where he was a supervisor and tool and die maker. Besides his family, Neal’s greatest pride and joy was caring for his yard. Any free time Neal had, was spent in his yard making sure it was immaculate and pristine. The focal points of his property were his roses, 96 rose bushes to be exact. A few years ago the Prueter’s Residence received the Bay City in Bloom – Beautification Award. During the holiday seasons Neal would always decorate his yard for the occasion. Although the house always looked Festive around Christmas, Halloween was his favorite holiday to really “go all out” decorating. When he wasn’t working in his yard, Neal would be working with tools or pursuing his passion for woodworking. Although he had many hobbies and projects, Neal’s biggest joy in life was spending time with his children and grandchildren. Neal will be deeply missed by all of his family and friends.
Left to cherish Neal’s memories is his wife, Debra Prueter; children, Donat (Patricia) Ratell, Courtney (Dean) Spencer, Shay (Fiancé; Tarek Khoriaty) Luptowski, and Samantha Prueter; grandchildren, Brendan and Lucas Ratell, Benjamin and Emma Spencer, and Monreau Khoriaty; mother, Elda Prueter; fur-baby, Lucy; two sisters, Dawn Prueter and Myra Prueter (Norma Rivera); mother-in-law, Joan Wejsa; sisters-in-law, Pamela (Gary) Richardson and Sandra Wejsa; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. After many years apart, Neal is finally reunited with his father, Elton Prueter, and brother-in-law, Jeffrey Wejsa; both of which preceded him in death in 1999.
At the request of Neal, cremation has taken place and there will be no services held at the Ambrose Funeral Chapel. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the “Wishes of the Family”. www.ambrosefuneralchapel.com
