          Mary Ann Bierlein, age 65, passed away peacefully with her family by her side in the morning hours on Friday, October 25, 2019. Mary was born on December 17, 1953 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Joseph A. and Orriel M. (Walter) Rutkowski. Mary retired after many years of service as a Registered Nurse; she worked for Covenant Hospital and the Aleda E. Lutz V.A. Medical Center in Saginaw, Michigan. Mary’s coworkers and friends will tell you that Mary went “above and beyond,” and could not have been a more caring and compassionate patient advocate. Her biggest joy in life was her son Brandon, and Mary loved all animals dearly.

 

          Left to cherish her memories are her son, Brandon (Kyle Wesling) Bierlein; siblings, Vickie Hetrick, JoAnn (Ray) Bigelow, David (Lynn) Rutkowski, and Janet Lozano; sister-in-law, Cheryl Rutkowski; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mary has been reunited with her parents, Joseph A. and Orriel M. (Walter) Rutkowski, brother, Dennis Rutkowski; and brother-in-law, Blue Lozano.

 

          At the request of Mary and her family, cremation has taken place and there will be a Celebration of Life Gathering held in Mary’s honor on Sunday, October 27, 2019 from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. in the Saints and Sinners Lounge overlooking Dow Gardens at the Midland Center for the Arts, 1801 W. St. Andrews Rd. Midland, MI 48640.
