Rechsteiner, Mark E.
Our loving husband, father, grandfather, and son passed away peacefully at his residence in Freeland, Michigan with his family by his side in the evening hours of the night on Tuesday, May 7, 2019. Mark was born in Bay City, Michigan to his parents John W. and June M. (Shorkey) Rechsteiner on September 11, 1954. On October 22, 1982 in Bay City, Michigan Mark married his beloved wife, Barbara A. Anderson. After over 35 years of service, Mark retired from Geiersbach Construction Company. Mark was a faithful Detroit Tiger’s Fan. One of his favorite pastimes was camping. His family’s favorite destination to camp at was Old Orchard Campground in Oscoda, Michigan. Mark had many joys in life, but nothing compared to the joy his family brought him. His family meant the world to him, especially his grandchildren. They were the highlight of his life. Mark will be missed dearly by all of his family and friends.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of over 36 years, Barbara A. Rechsteiner; children, Jason Rechsteiner, Fallon (Aaron) Wiles, and Shaun (Bianca) Rechsteiner; grandchildren, Hobbs Rechsteiner, Alice Rechsteiner, and Ezra Wiles; dog, Roxy; father, John W. Rechsteiner; mother-in-law, Alice Anderson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Thomas (Patricia) Anderson, Robert (Lisa) Anderson, and Paula (Brian) Anderson; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. After a period of separation, Mark is finally reunited with his mother, June M. Rechsteiner; brother, Dennis Rechsteiner, and father-in-law, Eldon Anderson.

The family will be having a Private Family Celebration of Life at a later date. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the “St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital” or the “Saginaw Rescue Mission”. www.ambrosefuneralchapel.com
