Marjorie A. “Marge” Neal
Bay City, Michigan
Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to all who met her passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at McLaren Bay Region surrounded by her family, age 78. Marjorie was born April 17, 1940 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Stanley and Louise (Gerulski) Gorney. She married her high school sweetheart, James A. Neal in St. Hedwig Church on September 12, 1959 and he survives her. Marjorie retired from Meijer in 2005 after more than 10 years of dedicated service, starting at the Wilder Road location and later in Essexville. She was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish-St. Hyacinth Church. She often volunteered for the funeral luncheons at church and enjoyed camping, jigsaw puzzles and reading. Marjorie loved her family dearly and made sure she was at all of her husband Jim’s functions, her grandchildren’s sporting events and their other activities.
Surviving besides her husband Jim are four children: Pam Neal, Dave (Lisa) Neal, Colleen (Bill) Case and Dan (Jen) Neal, ten grandchildren: Patrick (Kristy) Neal, Marcus (Kelsey) Neal, Courtney Brown, Sommer Brown, Chad (Brookelynn) Neal, Craig Neal, Brittany Case, Stephanie (Sawyer) Case, Brooke and Logan Neal, ten great grandchildren: Aryanna, Patrick Jr., Carter, Cierra, Myla, Juelz, Curtis Jr., Demetre, Mari, Quinn and one due in April, one sister Barbara Latocki, in-laws: Pauline (Don) Urban, Richard Kurlinski and Bob (Nancy) Neal, many nieces and nephews. Marjorie was predeceased by one brother Edward (Romaine) Gorney, a brother-in-law Floyd Latocki and a sister-in-law Sybille Kurlinski.
The Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish-St. Hyacinth Church, 1515 Cass Ave., Bay City, Michigan 48708. Fr. Rick Filary will celebrate Mass and private interment will be in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at Squires Funeral Home, 211 N. Henry Street, Bay City, MI 48706 on Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM and at church on Saturday after 9:00 AM. A Parish Vigil Service for Marjorie will be held Friday at 7:00 PM at Squires Funeral Home.
