Bickham, Margaret A. (Donovan)
Our beloved wife, mother, nana, and great-nana passed away peacefully in the morning hours of Monday, November 4, 2019 at her residence, with her husband by her side, in Tawas, Michigan. Age 80 years. Margaret was born on February 14, 1939 to the late John Donovan and Mary E. Griffin in South Boston, Massachusetts. On June 21, 1958 inside the Gate of Heaven Catholic Church in South Boston, Massachusetts; Margaret married the love of her life, William J. Bickham, and he survives her. Margaret was a proud Navy Wife and “The Best Mom Ever”, to say the least. Reading and baking brought Margaret much joy in her life. “If it could be baked, she could bake it”. Margaret was a very faithful women; she prayed the rosary regularly. She was very proud of her commitment of regularly donating to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Above all, nothing meant more to Margaret than spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 61 years, William J. Bickham; children, William M. (Laura) Bickham, Joseph (Bethany) Bickham, and Noreen (Shawn) Mohac; daughter-in-law, Holly Bickham; grandchildren, Dexter (Tara) Bickham, Mackenzie Bickham, Matthew Bickham, Bill Bickham, Peter (Jennifer) Bickham, Patrick (Jessica) Bickham, Stefoni (Todd) Walkowiak, Ambroz Dankl, and Samuel Dankl; great-grandchildren, Blake Walkowiak, Troy Walkowiak, Casen Bickham, Brianna Bickham, and Peter Bickham. Margarent is finally reunited with her son, Steven Bickham; parents, John Donovan and Joseph and Mary Manard.
At the request of Margaret and her family, cremation has taken place and there will be no services held at the Squires Funeral Home. Private Family inurnment will take place in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial to the “St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital”.
