Lennis L. Waltemyer
Bay City, Michigan
Mr. Waltemyer passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at McLaren Flint, age 74. He was born February 12, 1945 in Bay City to the late Osceola LeRoy and Alvera Erma (Felske) Waltemyer. Lennis was married to Patricia A. Rozek on July 29, 1967 and she survives him. He was a proud veteran and served his country with the US Navy. He retired in 2001 after more than 33 years of dedicated service at Saginaw Steering Gear and later Nexteer. Lennis was a member of the Eagles Aeries #1010 and the AMVets Post #22. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR, demolition and figure 8 derbies, and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Surviving besides his wife Patricia is a daughter Laurie (Robert) Low, five grandchildren: Ashley (Jason) Sanders, Tyler, Alex, Nicholas and Amber Low, one great granddaughter Addyson, two brothers, Albert (Barb) Waltemyer and Terry (Lisa) Waltemyer, one brother-in-law David Hardy, many nieces, nephews, family friends, Eagles Club and Deer Camp buddies, derby and figure 8 family. Lennis was predeceased by a sister Judy Hardy.
The Eagles Aeries #1010 will have their Service of Remembrance Sunday, September 15, 2019 at 6:00 PM at Ambrose Funeral Home. Following the Eagles Service, Mr. Waltemyer's Funeral Service will take place. Dr. Michael Rhodaberger will officiate the funeral service and private interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery. Friends may call at Ambrose Funeral Home on Sunday from 1:00 to 6:00 PM. Military Honors, under the auspices of the Bay County Veterans Honor Guard will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
