Lauren Michalski, our loving sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend passed away the evening of Friday, July 27, 2018 at McLaren Bay Region, aged 67. Lauren was born in Bay City, Michigan on August 1, 1950 to the late Aloysius and Eligia (Luczak) Michalski. She grew up in Bay City and was a member of the former St. James Catholic Church. She graduated in 1968 from St. James High School, which was the last graduating class before becoming All Saints. She then subsequently graduated in 1970 from the Northeastern School of Commerce before working as a Nursing Clerk for the former Bay Medical Center and retiring after 34 years of dedicated service. Lauren enjoyed watching Andy Griffith and “The Lucy Show” on television, and especially loved the Beatles. Extensive was her collection of Beatles memorabilia.
Lauren is survived by her “Lil brother”, Russ Michalski and niece and little buddy, Erica (Spencer) Abbs. Other surviving family members include her aunts, Marie Cote, Maureen Luczak, and special aunt and best friend, Shirley Caruso; cousins, Charlene Zimmerman, Barb Mandley, Linda Luczak, and JJWW Joyce Martin, her best pen pal. Extended family members include her best friend Marsha (Paul) Zacharko, and Josh, and Regan; her “Godchild” Alison; and special friends Dorothy, Sandy, Matt, Patty, Chris, and Becky. Besides her parents, Lauren was welcomed into Heaven by her step-father, Stanley and her uncle, Clarence Luczak.
Lauren’s family will be present to receive visitors on Friday, August 3, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until Lauren’s 11:00 a.m. Memorial Mass at All Saints Parish – St. James Church. Fr. Jose Cabrera will preside with Inurnment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy may consider contributions to All Saints Parish – St. James Church.
