Kenneth D. Adamkiewicz

Our devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all, passed away peacefully Friday morning August 2, 2019 at his residence, age 84. Ken was born February 15, 1935 in Zilwaukee, Michigan to the late Frank and Mary (Westendorf) Adamkiewicz. He married the love of his life, Joann M. Ratajczak in St. Norbert Catholic Church in Munger on September 7, 1957. Ken was a veteran and served his country with the US Air Force from 1952 to 1956. He had a long career with the Sears Roebuck, Co. as a department manager in Bay City, Saginaw and Flint, retiring on April 6, 1993. After some time away from a regular work schedule and enjoying retirement, Ken joined the staff and his second family at Ambrose Funeral Home and Squires Funeral Home. Working patiently and closely with the families at their visitations and funeral services for more than 15 years. He was a faithful member, usher and volunteer of Visitation Catholic Church. Ken was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #414 and St. Vincent DePaul Society. He volunteered numerous hours at Our Lady of Peace Parish Food Pantry and St. Vincent DePaul Store, where he helped with their bookkeeping.
