Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Bay City Comfort Care, age 87. She was born October 22, 1930 in Barton City, Michigan to the late Herman and Anna Badenhoop. She married Leo Nashatka in Angola, Indiana on July 1, 1950 and he predeceased her on January 12, 2015. Julia was a very familiar face to the Bay Area community, where she was a Real Estate agent for 19 years and also worked at Sears Roebuck for 30 years.
She is survived by her five daughters: Pamela (Gavino) Spanu, Tamara (Duane) Behmlander, Tina Campbell, Charmaine Orden, and Renee Ramon, thirteen grandchildren: Bruce (Rossana) Telhiard, Renato (Angela) Spanu, Damion (Odessa) Behmlander, Tadd (Lauren) Behmlander, Joshua (Roni) Nashatka, Jillian and Dylan Orden, Tabatha and Kendra Ramon, Natasha (Eric) Janke, Rachel and Devin Ramon and Camron Nance, sixteen great grandchildren: Emma Leah, Tatiana, Katarina, Catalina, Eliana, Jase, Journey, Briana, Megan, Laikyn, Alex, Benton, Ace, Paige, Alyvia and Mason. Also surviving are four sisters: Betty Argyle, Mary Coseo, Connie Dolney and Pearl Bellhorn. Julia was predeceased by a granddaughter Sarina Campbell, three brothers: Fred “Fritz”, Henry and Carl Badenhoop and four sisters: Margaret Emerson, Helen Bauer, Ella Ross and Mildred Miks.
The Funeral Service will be held Friday, December 15, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at Ambrose Funeral Home. Fr. Rick Filary will officiate and interment will follow in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial donations to "Family Wishes."
Julia’s daughters would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the staff at Bay City Comfort Care and Hometown Hospice, especially hospice nurse Roxanna for their kind and compassion care they gave mom and her entire family.
