Suchodolski, James R.
Bay City, Michigan
James R Suchodolski, age 85, of Bay City died February 13, 2019. He was born April 21, 1933 to John and Florence (Pawlak) Suchodolski. He married the love of his life Irene Watz on October 4, 1952 and they raised four children. They were married 55 years before Irene passed away in 2007. James worked in Agriculture for 48 years and held management positions at Michigan Bean, Wickes Agriculture, Pillsbury, Klein-Berger and Conagra Foods Inc. In 1990, he received the first annual Agri-Dealer of the Year Award in Michigan. He retired in January 1991 and served as a consultant for Klein-Berger, KBD Trading & Processing Company and Conagra Foods Inc. until 2003. He was a past President and Director of Michigan Shippers Association and a past President and Director of the MABA Scholarship Trust Fund and a trustee for many years. He belonged to the Saint Hyacinth Church where he served as a lector for many years. He was a past member of the parish council and past chairman of its finance committee. He also belonged to the St. Hyacinth and St. Stanislaus Athletic Clubs. He was an avid bowler, golfer and loved a good game of euchre.
He is survived by sons, James J. (Connie), Kenneth (Amy), Steven (Shelia), and daughter Ann Marie Bialobrzeski; Six grandchildren, Keith, Craig, John, and Ryan Suchodolski; Shawn and Bradley Bialobrzeski. One great grandson Tyler Suchodolski; Sister, Barbara Bukowski; Siblings in law Richard Watz, Jack and Jackie Watz and Donald Watz. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Florence Suchodolski; wife Irene; brother Paul; Sister-in-laws Francis Suchodolski, Elaine Watz and Donna Watz; Mother and Father In Law John and Regina Watz; and brother-in-law, Daniel Bukowski.
The Funeral Mass will take place at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish – St. Hyacinth Church at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 21, 2019. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Robert Kelm. Friends may call the Ambrose Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of mass. A Vigil Service will be held Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Floral Gardens Cemetery.
