Harold L. Cripps
Bay City, Michigan
Our loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother went home to be with the Lord on Good Friday March 30, 2018 at Caretel Inns of Tri-Cities, age 75. Harold was born January 14, 1943 in Gladwin, Michigan to the late Harvey and Lucille (Bender) Cripps. He married Janet M. Leslie in Gladwin on December 16, 1961 and she survives him. He retired from Grey Iron Foundry with over 34 years of dedicated service as their skilled trade foreman. Harold was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and an avid hunter, fisherman, NASCAR Fan and boater.
Surviving are three children: Harry (Kathy) Cripps, Mickey (Isabel) Cripps and Tammy (Tom) Mast, grandchildren: Justun Curry, Morgan (Eric) MacKenzie, Anthony (Ashley) Cripps, Mike (Joyce) Cripps, Angela Cripps and Kamron Mast, great grandchildren: Avery Jones, Anthony Cripps Jr., Nora Cripps, Jackson Cripps, Waylon Cripps, Wyatt Cripps, Dylan MacKenzie, Emily MacKenzie, and Odin Curry, five sisters: Alice Utley, Patricia Nettelton, Norma (Don) Davis, Gloria Tallieu and Cheryl (Rich) Sabotovich, and his in-laws: Linda (Dean) Combs, Don (Marlis) Leslie, Sam Leslie, Joe Leslie and Jean Higgins. Harold was predeceased by his brother Russel Cripps.
The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 1:00 pm at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 6094 Westside Saginaw Road, Bay City, MI 48706. Rev. Dennis Matyas will officiate. Friends may call at Squires Funeral Home on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 2:00 to 7:00 pm and at church on Saturday after 12:00 noon. Harold’s good friend Don Hetherington will have a Candle Light Prayer Service in memory of Harold Friday at 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
