Bay City, Michigan

Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt peacefully went to be with the Lord in the morning hours of Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at the Bay County Medical Care Facility in Hampton Township, Michigan. Age 86 years. Phoebe was born on August 15, 1933 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Chester and Genevieve (Grabowski) Agdanowski. She began her career working for several years at General Motors Corp., as a cook. She later carried on her passion and retired from the Bay Medical Center in 1998 after numerous years of service. Phoebe was a longtime member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, which is now named Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish; there she was a member of the St. Stanislaus Senior Citizens Club. She was also a lifetime member and past president of the Ladies Auxiliary at the P.L.A.V. Post #162. Spending time outdoors and camping brought much joy to Phoebe’s life; she spent her summers camping at the Lost Valley Campground in Lupton, Michigan. “As long as she was outdoors, she was happy”. According to her family, “If you wanted to visit her in the summertime, you had to go up north to see her”. Phoebe also really enjoyed all holidays; her family will always remember the memorable holiday decorations she put up and decorated. Phoebe will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

Left to cherish her memories are her seven children, Ellen (Alan) Berner, Sandy Schaffer, August “Gus” Neitzel, Michael (Tamara) Neitzel, Mark Dombrowski, Cindy Brummett, and Jeffrey Dombrowski; eight grandchildren, Lisa (Greg) Rabidoux, Sarah (Chris) Nesbitt, Michael Neitzel, Garrett (Samantha) Neitzel, Eric Neitzel, Kristi (Brandon) Konarzewski, Matthew Brummett, and Nathan Brummett; special great-grandchildren, Rosie and Louie Rabidoux, Annah and Lilly Nesbitt, Michael, Madison, Blake and Timmy Neitzel and Lenox and Hadley Neitzel; step grandchildren: Casey (TJ) Regan, Mara Kiter and Dominic Kiter, step great grandchildren: Oliver, Zoe and Everett Regan and Wyatt Kiter, one sister Rita Zajac; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended families: Hershel Brummett his sons and family, Jeremy and Crystal Threet, their children: Baily (Macee), Brock and Brayden, Kerry Kalahar, and Jane Spyhalski.  Also the families of Casmier Dombrowski and Joseph Neitzel.  After a period of separation, Phoebe is finally reunited with her daughter and son-in-law; Jackie and Earl Nunnally; parents, Chester and Genevieve (Grabowski) Agdanowski; brother, Adrian (Evelyn) Arthur; sister, Lorraine (Henry) Arndt; infant sister, Grace Agdanowski; and brother-in-law, Frank Zajac.
