Hogan, Elaine Marie
Bay City, Michigan
Our loving mother and nana, Elaine Marie Hogan, passed away peacefully in the morning hours of Monday, October 28, 2019 at the Caretel Inn of Bay City, Michigan. Age 89 years. Elaine was born on September 29, 1930 in Bay City to the late Alexander and Stella (Brozewski) Lukowski. On October 3, 1953 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Elaine married the love of her life, Gerald J. Hogan, and he preceded her in death on March 7, 2017. Elaine worked at J.C. Penny and Kresge Co. After 23 ½ years of service, Elaine retired from the Michigan Bell Telephone Company. Elaine was a proud member of the Michigan Bell Pioneers. She was a lifelong member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, which is now Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish. She was a longtime member of the Our Lady of Czestochowa Rosary Society and the Legion of Mary. She lived her life devoted to St. Theresa of the Little Flower. In her spare time, one of her favorite leisure activities was completing word search puzzles. Above all nothing meant more to Elaine then her family. She loved attending all of the family gatherings and events; Thanksgiving was her favorite. Elaine will be missed dearly by all of her family and friends.
Left to cherish her memories are her three children, Beth (David) Siefert, Susan (Terry) Brandow, and Nancy (David) Wagner; five grandchildren, Matthew (Jen) Siefert, Andrew (Christine) Siefert, John Siefert, Jacob Wagner, and Sarah Wagner; five great-grandchildren, Logan, Conner, Zoey Ann, Noah, and Sharlotte. Elaine is finally reunited with her husband, Gerald J. Hogan; parents, Alexander and Stella (Brozewski) Lukowski; sister, Patricia (William) Goetz; and brother-in-law, Robert (Wilma Hogan and Mary Lou Hogan) Hogan.
Elaine’s family would like to extend a special Thank You to the staff of the Caretel Inn, Sheffield Bay, and Grace Hospice for the care and compassion that they provided to Elaine and their family.
