Earnest W. “Ernie” Lehman
Twining, Michigan formally of Bay City, Michigan
Our loving brother and uncle passed away peacefully at the Close to Home Assisted Living Facility in Munger, Michigan on Friday, June 22, 2018, age 79. Earnest was born on October 20, 1938 in Bay City, Michigan to the late William and Hazel (Dora) Lehman. As time went on, Earnest moved to Twining, Michigan to assist his family with the farm. He also worked for the Twining Public Schools in the maintenance department and eventually retired from there. Earnest’s family will always remember him by the painting and woodwork that he created and passed on to his sisters and nieces. He was also known for his love of Polka music, old country songs, and dancing.
Left to cherish his memories are his two sisters, Linda Johnroe and Mary Lou Rainwater; Two special nieces that took care of him, Jennifer (Tod) O’Connor and Marcie Keesler; and several other nieces and nephews. Earnest was preceded in death by three sisters, Thresa (Merlin) Werth, Riva (John) Ahler, and Betty Sauve; as well as one brother-in-law, Walter Rainwater.
The funeral service will take place at the Squires Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation taking place at 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Officiating will be Chaplain Doug Bassett. Interment will take place following the service at Floral Gardens Cemetery in Bay City, Michigan.
