     Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend to all who met him passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, December 18, 2018 at Brian’s House, age 84.  David was born June 22, 1934 in Alpena, Michigan to the late Raymond and Isabelle (Fradette) Sabourin.  He married Suzanne M. Swincicki in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church on February 20, 1960 and she survives him.  He retired from Bay City Chevrolet after 32 years of dedicated service and was a member of the UAW Local #362.  David was also a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish-St. Mary’s Church, the Knights of Columbus Council #4102 3rd Degree Brother Knight, Bishop Murphy Assembly #0491 4th Degree Sir Knight, the Color Corps and on the Home Association for 4102.  David was very devoted to the Knights of Columbus, at his council he held all of the offices throughout the years and sometimes even more than once.  He was a Past Faithfull Navigator with the Bishop Murphy Assembly as well as Diocesan Director, Squire Director and a member of the Degree Team for the 1st Degree and 4th Degree.  When not involved with a K of C event, he enjoyed deer hunting, golf on the Tuesday morning shop league even after retirement and bowling at Monitor Lanes with the Knights of Columbus.

     Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Suzanne, seven children: Terrance (Michele) Sabourin, Karen (Mark) Reed, Sandra (David) Dutton, Brian (Luanne) Sabourin, Daniel Sabourin, Ellen (Thomas) Kinsey and Aaron (Shelly) Sabourin, 18 grandchildren: Jason (Jennifer) Turek, Alicia (Levi) Kosnik, Shannon (Josh) Haener, Carley Sabourin and (Justin), Gina Reed and (Adam), Katelynne Reed and (Mark), Brandon Reed, Andrea Reed and (Conrad), Timothy Dutton and (Kristyn), Chad (Tiffany) Dutton, Austin Sabourin, Dylan Sabourin and (Gabryelle), Logan Kinsey and (Katrina), Jocelin Kinsey, Tristan (Phillip) Tilger, Chantal Piggott and (Spenser), Kristy Dombrowski and (Nic) and Michael Dombrowski and (Trisha), 10 great grandchildren, six siblings: Elizabeth “Betty” (Jimmy) Klosowski, Frank (Peggy) Sabourin, Barb (Mike) DuRussel, Phyllis Hahn, Jack Sabourin and Joan Sabourin and her husband Andrew Tierman, one brother-in-law James (Betty) Swincicki and several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.  David was predeceased by a son Randolph Sabourin.

     The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Peace Parish-St. Mary’s Church, 607 E. South Union Street, Bay City, MI 48706.  Fr. Edwin Dwyer will celebrate Mass and interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Squires Funeral Home, 211 N. Henry Street, Bay City, MI 48706 on Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 pm and Saturday after 9:00 am at church.  A Parish Vigil Service, 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus Bible Presentation and 4th Degree Chalice Service for David will be held Friday at 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorials to the American Diabetes Association.
