Darlene L. Graczyk
Bay City, Michigan
Darlene passed away unexpectedly and was reunited with her husband Bob in Heaven Tuesday, June 5, 2018, age 73. She was born August 10, 1944 in Alpena, Michigan to the late Harry and Blanche (Pieczynski) Krawczak. Darlene married Robert P. Graczyk on April 15, 1967 and he predeceased her on November 24, 2017. She was an educated beautician and business woman. Over the years she owned and operated a few different businesses in the area, including the Carriage Shop in Bay City and the Owls Nest in Auburn. Darlene was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish-St. Hyacinth Church and past President of the Knights of Columbus #414 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed organizing several casino trips over the years and hosting her pool and Halloween parties. Darlene loved to spoil her nieces and nephews. They will never forget her generosity and infectious laugh, nor will anyone who knew her and her great smile.
Surviving are two brothers-in-law: Verl Mortensen and Mark Graczyk, two sisters-in-law: Marcia (Joe) Maciejewski and Clairelynn Krawczak, nieces and nephews: Randy (Anne) Mortensen, Tammy (Renee) Mortensen, Ivy Cook (Jason), Laura (Aaron) Hotelling, Luke (Jessica) Krawczak, Joelle (Greg) Katt, Kristie Maciejewski (Craig), as well as several great nieces and nephews and special friends, Connie Townsend and Robert (Beverly) Krauseneck. Darlene was predeceased by a sister Geraldine Mortensen, one brother Ivan Krawczak and a niece Shelly McKenney.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, June 8, 2018 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish-St. Hyacinth Church, 1515 Cass Ave., Bay City, MI 48708. Fr. Jose Maria Cabrera will celebrate Mass and private interment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ambrose Funeral Home on Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 pm and at church on Friday after 10:00 am. A Parish Vigil Service for Darlene will be held Thursday at 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
