Frank, Betty P.

Bay City, Michigan

Our loving Mother, Grandmother, and Sister passed away peacefully at the Rachel Sovereign Memorial Home in the morning hours of Thursday, September 6, 2018. Age 93 years. Mrs. Frank was born in Bay City, Michigan on April 17, 1925 to Alexander and Ethel (Farwyk) Kornecky. On December 9, 1942 Betty married her forever love, Percy E. Frank and they were blessed with 6 children. Betty retired from the Bay County Register of Deeds office and was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish, St. Mary’s Church, for 83 years. Betty was a past member of the St. Mary’s Altar Society, loved to pray the rosary, and attend Mass. She was a life-long, loyal Detroit Tigers fan and loved to crochet. Betty had many joys in life, but nothing meant more to her than her children and family. Her loving resilience and strength were evident in her care of her young husband, Percy, through his terminal illness and passing in 1960. She then continued to dedicate her life to raising their children. Her life was guided by her love for and unwavering faith in God. She is eternally resting home with Him in Heaven.

Left to cherish her memories are her loving children, Ron (Sue) Frank of St. Petersburg, FL, Judy (Pat) Donnelly of Charlevoix, MI, Linda (Keith) Schauman of Grand Blanc, MI, Betsy (Bob) Schoonover of Charlevoix, MI, Jill (Dan) Revette of Bay City, MI, and Jack G. (Bev) Frank of Bay City, MI; beloved grandchildren, Scott (Jenny) Frank, Amy (John) Myers, Mike (Shelley) Donnelly, Mary Anne (Dave) Lang, Staci Colborn, Kurt (Aimee) Schauman, Seth (Cindy) Arnold, Shay (Jessica) Arnold, Molly (Josh) Vargas, Annie (Ryan) Smith, Clyde Schoonover, Melissa Miller, Annmarie (Ron) Bingle, Craig Revette, Carianne (Ty) Robbins, Jennifer (Shane) Martin, and Gregory Frank; 32 precious great-grandchildren; a sister, Ethel Kaunitz; and numerous nieces and nephews. Betty is welcomed into Heaven’s Gates by her parents; husband, Percy E. Frank; granddaughter, Julie Frank-Taylor; brother, Edwin Kornecky; sisters, Katherine Kornecky, Mary Preston, and Margaret Dieter; son-in-law, Thomas Arnold; nephew, Dennis Preston; and many other in-laws.

The family would like to thank all of the wonderful staff at the Rachel Sovereign Memorial Home for their kindness and compassionate care for their mother over the past 3 years.
