Armand A. Wojcik, the best husband and father in the world, peacefully passed away the morning of Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Brian’s House, age 86. He was born in Bay City, Michigan on June 16, 1933 to the late Andrew and Gladys (Nowak) Wojcik. He married the love of his life and dancing partner, Dorothy Pantkowski in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church on May 7, 1955. Armand graduated from Central High School in 1951 and Junior College Bay City in 1953. He then later graduated from the General Motors Institute of Technology in 1957 as an Industrial Engineer. He retired from the Grey Iron Foundry Plant of Saginaw after 34 years of service.
Armand, Dorothy, and their group of friends loved going to polka and festival dances for years. He was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish-St. Hyacinth Church where he served the church as a Lector, Eucharistic Minister and Server for numerous Funeral Masses. Armand was also a member of the Frankenmuth Conservation Club, the Grey Iron Foundry Retirees Club, and the Knights of Columbus Council 4102. He was considered a “Jack of All Trades” and did many favors for family and friends. In his retirement, Armand did a beautiful job reconstructing homes for his sons and often took his grandchildren fishing.
Armand leaves behind his loving wife Dorothy after 64 years of marriage; five sons, Dennis (Grace) Wojcik, William (Robin) Wojcik, David (Rhonda) Wojcik, Kevin Wojcik, Steven Wojcik and husband Bill Pinyon; seven grandchildren and one step-granddaughter, Collin, Garrett, Jarrod, Kayla, Andrew, Jade, Clayton Wojcik, and Adrianna (Andy) Hill; a brother, James Wojcik; two sisters-in-law, Gail Wojcik and Dolores Leppek. Armand also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends.
The Funeral Mass for Armand will be celebrated Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish – St. Stanislaus Church, 1503 Kosciuszko Ave., Bay City, MI 48708. Fr. George Serour will preside with entombment in St. Stanislaus Mausoleum. Friends may call at Ambrose Funeral Home on Monday, November 4, 2019 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at church on Tuesday after 10:00 a.m. A Parish Vigil Service will be held Monday at 7:00 p.m. at Ambrose Funeral Home.
