Mrs. Wujek passed away peacefully the afternoon of Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the Carriage House of Bay City, age 85 years. Ann was born in Bay City, Michigan on July 26, 1932 to the late Frank and Antoinette (Kowalski) Smolinski. She married the late Thaddeus Wujek in St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church on February 1, 1958 and he preceded her in death on December 30, 1997. Ann was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish – St. Stanislaus Church and retired from Bay City Chevrolet after 26 years of service. Ann was a good and loving provider to her family. She loved to cook, bake, and can fruits and vegetables from her own garden.
Left to cherish her memory are her two children, Dennis (Jackie) Wujek of Indiana and Donna (Brian) Hunt of Saginaw; grandchildren, Robert (Becka), Christopher and Emily Wujek, Nicole Hunt and her fiancé, Doug Shores, and Shelby Hunt. Ann is also survived by her brother, Eugene Smolinski and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Ann was preceded in death by her brothers, Francis, John, Chester, and Edward Smolinski and numerous brothers- and sisters-in-law.
The Funeral Mass for Ann will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. from Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish- St. Stanislaus Church 1503 Kosciuszko Ave, Bay City, Michigan. Fr. Rick Filary will preside with private interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Visitation will take place at Ambrose Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. and at the church beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. A Parish Vigil Service will take place Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the American Cancer Society.
