Burzynski, Andrew S. "Andy", Sr.
Bay City, Michigan
Our loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother passed away peacefully in the morning hours of Thursday, November 15, 2018 at the Bay Valley House in Bay City, Michigan. Age 84 years. Andy was born in Bay City, Michigan on November 9, 1934 to the late Louis and Stella (Domalgalski) Burzynski. On May 16, 1959 he married the love of his life, Bernadine M. Rezler, and she preceded him in death on April 18, 2016. He was a member for numerous years at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish – St. Hyacinth Church and also the United States National Guard. He was a regular customer at the Bell Bar, AM Vets, and Madison Pub. Andy was an avid golfer and played on the Bell Bar blooper ball team for many years. Another passion of his was bowling; in his lifetime he bowled two 300 games.
Left to cherish his memories are his four children, Andrew S. (Debbie) Burzynski, Jr., Kenneth A. (Elke) Burzynski, Michael J. Burzynski, and Holly A. (Mike) Blunt; eleven grandchildren, Amanda (Ryan), Joshua (Stacy), Kourtney (Jeremy), Chelsea, Jessica (Tim), Kristina (Greg), Emily, Delaney, Mikey, Brittany, and Hannah; several great-grandchildren, Addy, Landon, Kenna, Liam, Riley, Gracelyn, Caleb, Flynn, Peyton, Rosaly, Willow, Lleyton, Emma, Ally, and Ava; one sister, Jeanne Packard; three brothers-in-law, Chet Vennix, Larry Satkowiak, Dan Grudzinski; two sisters-in-law, Linda Burzynski and Del Arndt; God children, Brian Arndt, Janine Scarcelli, Dennis Vennix, Jeff Arndt, and Paul Satkowiak; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Andy is welcomed into Heaven’s Gate’s by his parents; his wife, Bernadine M. Burzynski; brother, Walt Burzynski; sister, Bernice Grudzinski; brother-in-law, Art Packard; and two sisters-in-law, Pat Vennix and Bev Satkowiak.
The Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish – St. Hyacinth Church on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Celebrant will be Fr. Rick Filary. Visitation will take place at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Entombment will follow immediately after Mass in the St. Stanislaus Mausoleum.
