Aloysius Adamczyk

Gladwin, Michigan

(formerly of Bay City)

Our beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother passed away peacefully Saturday morning October 6, 2018 at Horizon Senior Living Center in Gladwin, age 83.  He was born July 13, 1935 in Bay City to the late Stanley and Mary (Reder) Adamczyk.  Aloysius married Marilyn J. Sinn on June 7, 1958 and she predeceased him on August 21, 1991.  He retired from Grey Iron Foundry in Saginaw with 25 years of dedicated service and was an avid Detroit Tigers and Red Wings fan. Aloysius enjoyed spending time with his family and would often take vacations with them up-north or to one of his favorite locations, Tawas.  Sundays were special for Aloysius, he would gather the family and go to the bowling alley to enjoy the day together.  He liked to drive the roads in the northern country and was always there for his sons at their sporting events or activities they were involved with.

Surviving are three sons: Daniel A. (Melissa) Adamczyk, Scott J. (Tana) Adamczyk and Todd A. (Rolene) Adamczyk, seven grandchildren: Nickolas (Lacey) Adamczyk, Lindsey (Brandon) Brabaw, Sasha (Andrew) Kaminski, Jacob (Laura Porter) Carter, Owen Carter, Cody (fiancée Heather) Proctor and Dustin Proctor, seven great grandchildren: Hailey and Addison Adamczyk, Brooklynn, Kendall and Zoey Brabaw, Reese and Hailey.  Also, one sister Rose Kanicki, one brother Phil (Rita) Adamczyk, a sister-in-law Millie Sinn and two brothers-in-law, Tim (Lois) Pennell and Jack Rezler.  Aloysius was predeceased by seven brothers: Leonard, Casey, Leo, Frank, Joe, Anthony and John Adamczyk and two sisters, Verna (Vic) Voisine and Josephine Rezler.

The Funeral Service for Aloysius will be held Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Ambrose Funeral Home.  Rev. Richard Milkes will officiate and interment will follow in Floral Gardens Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3:00 to 8:00 pm and Wednesday after 12:00 noon.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the American Cancer Society or Dementia Society of America.  www.ambrosefuneralchapel.com
