Our loving father and grandfather passed away in the early morning hours of Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the McLaren Bay Region Hospital in Bay City, Michigan. Age 75 years. Allan was born on April 6, 1943 in Bay City Michigan to the late Aloysius and Angeline (Krzysiak) Napieralski. His love and joy was his family; son, Todd; daughter, Terri; twin grandsons, Hunter and Landon; and daughter-in-law, Peggy; Todd and Terri’s half-brother, Rich Rigda; brother-in-law, Jack Sutton; nephews, Thomas Napieralski, James Napieralski, Darin Napieralski, T.J. Sutton; niece, Jeni; and many great nieces and nephews. Al was preceded in death by his loving parents; brother, Archie; sister; Dorothy Sutton; sister-in-law, Toni; nephews, Greg Napieralski and Shawn Sutton. Al was a supportive fan of all his kids sporting events. He loved Ohio State Football and Duke Basketball. Al graduated from St. James High School in 1961 where he played three sports. In 1962 he continued on his education at Northwood Institute, where he played football and baseball. Al worked for ten years at Flint Buick – General Motors and worked for thirty-six years in the food and beverage business where he retired from the Bay City Country Club in 2005.


The Funeral Mass will be held at the All Saints Parish – St. James Church on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Stephen Fillion. Visitation will take place at the Ambrose Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Immediately following the Mass at church, family and friends will travel in procession to St. Stanislaus Cemetery where interment and Committal Prayers will take place.  Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a memorial to the “charity of their choice”.
