Adam Troy Kurchak
Bay City, Michigan
Adam Troy Kurchak, age 54 passed away unexpectedly in his home on May 23, 2019. He was born in Portsmouth, Virginia on December 28, 1964 to Melvin and Penny (Didier) Kurchak, both of Bay City, MI. Adam grew up primarily in Saginaw, MI and graduated from Arthur Hill High School in Saginaw MI, Class of 1986. He was a very special person who was given health related challenges to overcome since birth. He was very determined to be taken seriously all of his life and as a result worked very hard at everything he did. He had his own way of accomplishing things and could be counted on for ‘family work days’. He spent several years helping his grandfather with many tasks at his home and church and for the past several years, worked with a special group of people at both The Stockpot Diner and Uptown Grill in Bay City. For Vince and his crew who worked with Adam, the family will forever be grateful for helping him to feel ‘normal’.
He is survived by his mother Penny Kurchak of AuGres, MI, father Melvin Kurchak of West Branch, MI and Seebring, FL, sisters Patricia (James) Keen of Rockford, IL and Virginia O’Keefe (Michael) of Hickory, NC along with several extended family members.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will take place, Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at 2pm at Squires Funeral Home in Bay City, MI. Friends and family may gather at the funeral home beginning at 1pm. Officiating will be Linda Studniarz.
