Our beloved husband, father, brother and friend passed away unexpectedly Friday, November 24, 2017 at McLaren Bay Region, age 76. Robert was born June 4, 1941 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Albin and Martina (Gielda) Graczyk. He married Darlene L. Krawczak on April 15, 1967 and she survives him. He retired from Bay City Chevrolet after 31 years of service as a reliability engineer. Bob later worked at Graphic Metals until operations were transferred out of state. He was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish-St. Hyacinth Church and the Eagles Aeries #1010. Bob was an avid car and motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed boating as well. He was also a member of the Re-Hydration Society and his favorite color was green, for Michigan State University, “Go Green”. Bob was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #414, where he served as their Past Grand Knight and former Diocese Program Director. He was District Deputy and presently Saginaw Diocese Memberships Director and Round Table. Robert was also a Sir Knight of the Bishop Murphy Assembly #0491 and Color Corps, where he was Past Faithful Navigator.
Surviving is his wife of 50 years, Darlene, one son Robert P. Graczyk, Jr., one grandson Duncan Graczyk, one sister Marcia (Joe) Maciejewski, one brother Mark Graczyk, and one brother in-law Verl Mortenson, many nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by a sister in-law Geraldine Mortenson and a brother in-law Ivan Krawczak.
The Funeral Mass and Rite of Committal will be celebrated Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish-St. Hyacinth Church, 1515 Cass Ave., Bay City, MI 48708. Fr. Jose Maria Cabrera will celebrate Mass. Private interment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ambrose Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 pm and at church on Wednesday after 10:00 am. A Parish Vigil Service, 3rd Degree K of C Bible Presentation and 4th Degree Bishop Murphy Assembly Chalice Presentation will be held Tuesday at 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
